An application to the HRH program generally takes between 1-2 months from the time your application is received until a contract is offered, though the process varies by position and time of year.
All applications are reviewed and approved by a committee composed of representatives from the Ministry of Health, the HRH faculty, the University of Rwanda, which consists of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, School of Dentistry, School of Nursing and Midwifery, and the School of Public Health. Successful applicants will be approved by the Rwandan Minister of Health and offered a contract from his or her host institution in the US.
The program is currently accepting applications for the August 2015 – July 2016 academic year, which begins August 1, 2015, although candidates are also being considered for subsequent academic years.
